If you think about it, most of the software out there all have something in common. Some of their source code probably performs the same things… Because everything is already written, everything is already there. Nonetheless, we continue coding new things. New frameworks, new content management platforms, new custom ERP…

If you have an idea for a new software, it’s probably already been created. So why do we keep building things that have already been built?

Hypergrowth

We live in a chaotic and always evolving world. The economy expects continuous improvements. Everyone is tunnel-visioned on growth, building faster, outplaying the competition. This is one of the main cause of the problem, we don’t have time to think.

If you live in a large European city, it’s very likely that you’ve seen a fast grocery delivery company like Gorillas, Getir or Flink. Their strategy relies on heavy marketing. Surprisingly, these companies don’t actually earn money, they are losing them. But that’s fine because they are all focused on growth, the goal is to beat the competition (hopefully) by gaining more users. Only then…
